The 1st game back for Bedians on Saturday 8th August, resulted in a defeat. The team played well going 1 up with a goal from Reece Douglas in the 1st 10 minutes, and with a disallowed penalty goal shortly after, Bedians looked the better team from the start. But, top flight Gregorians showed the class when they scored 2 goals in quick succession. Bedians again felt unlucky to have a tight offside goal from Liam Hargreaves disallowed, for the equaliser. Gregorians then scored 2 more goals to seal their win.

The team played well and learnt a lot from their 1st game back, with a big squad and a lot of new players. Time will create the team chemistry needed before the start of the season. Congratulations to Gregorians for their win!

Man of the Match: Shane Mageean
