Match Report

What an electrifying match! Village and Bedians clashed in an intense showdown, and the game was nothing short of thrilling. Village kicked off with a powerful attack, but Bedians quickly countered with their own ferocious offensive. The game was filled with end-to-end action, with both teams showing incredible skill and determination. However, Bedians were to score first after ten minutes, and the back four moved the ball from left to right. Ben Scott passed an excellent ball to Rylan McEvoy, who played tidy one-touch passes with Midfielders Cam Walker and Prindi Kimputu, which got Bedians further up the pitch. Rylan took the ball to the byline and crossed a good ball that went to the back post and found its way to Chris Sherrington, who struck a great ball in, and Erick Ageymang scored a bullet header past the keeper to make it 1-0 to Bedians.

We had to wait till the 43rd minute to get our 2nd goal that built up from the back; this time, Rylan McEvoy received the ball wide but drove inside and passed the ball to Prindi Kimputu, who played a lovely ball into the penalty area to Eric Ageymang who was the coolest man on the pitch when the keeper came rushing out he simply squared the ball to Rylan McEvoy to give Bedians a two-goal lead going into the break. We didn't have to wait long for the third goal after the break in the 50th minute. The Village tried to play out from the back, and Prindi Kimputu covered a lot of ground to close down the Village centre half and took the ball from him; goal-hungry Erick Ageymang moved quickly into the area with nobody marking him and waited for Prindi to pass him the ball and coolly slotted home his second goal upon receiving the pass to make 3-0 to Bedians.

From this point, Bedians had complete control of the game; it was a hot day, and on the hour mark we added the fourth goal from a throw-in just inside the Village half. Prindi received the ball unmarked, and he carried the ball 10 yards further into the half. Rylan McEvoy made a run from the right across the back four, and Kimputu played a one-two with McEvoy, this took out three defenders and left Prindi with a one-on-one with the keeper. He dropped his shoulder and curled the ball over the keeper into the far corner, which was a lovely goal.

Bedians made several changes, with Kane Hussain & Finn McGuire Impressing after coming on in their first league appearance, whilst Cam Walker pulled the strings in midfield. However, Bedians became overconfident and were sloppy in possession; they gave away a free kick on the edge of our area. Dan Bothwell, who had been causing problems on our right all afternoon, stepped up to take the free kick and curled the ball into the corner of the goal in the 80th minute, which Andrea Pirlo would have been proud of.

The game concluded with a resounding 4-1 victory for Bedians.
