This week saw the return of John Grant after injury along with Cam Walker and Chris Sherrington return after there holidays

What a thriller of encounter it was! Bedians charged into the match, fully aware that Monton had just pulled off a stunning 3-2 victory against Hazel Grove. Bedians showcased their intent to dominate from the opening whistle, controlling the game and pushing deep into Monton’s territory. In the 9th minute, Prindi unleashed a breathtaking strike from outside the box, soaring toward the top right corner only for the Monton keeper to defy gravity with an incredible one-handed save, tipping it over the bar! But Bedians wouldn't be deterred. Their relentless pressure paid off in the 19th minute when Rylan McEvoy sprinted down the left flank, leaving defenders in his wake. He pulled back a perfect pass to captain Cam Walker, whose initial shot was saved. Yet, like a true poacher, Jack Cooper darted in to nudge the ball over the line 1-0 to Bedians! Straight from the kickoff, Monton was back on the ropes. Rylan McEvoy closed down the midfielder, seized possession, and surged down the right side, delivering a pinpoint cross. Cooper again tried his luck, but the keeper was equal to the task. Enter Eric Ageymang, a whirlwind who covered 30 yards in a flash to latch onto the rebound and slot it home. Bedians were soaring at 2-0, but frustration mounted as they squandered two golden opportunities to extend their lead, a decision they would come to regret.
.Monton finally found their footing in the 29th minute with their first attacking move of the game. A long, floating ball was flicked into the path of Tom Perkins, who coolly rounded the keeper and slotted it home 2-1! Just two minutes later, disaster struck for Bedians again. A lapse in concentration from Michael Olayinka allowed Monton to capitalize, as they swiftly moved down the right wing, crossing it perfectly for Rowan Kimmins to level the score at 2-2! Despite the setbacks, Bedians kept pressing, clearly the stronger side. In the dying moments of the first half, they earned a well-deserved corner. The ball fell to Olayinka just outside the box. With precision and power, he struck it low, curling off the post and into the net 3-2 at halftime!

The second half belonged to Bedians, who unleashed a barrage of attacks. But it seemed as if Lady Luck had turned her back; countless chances went begging, and Monton’s keeper was in fine form. As the clock ticked down, it looked like Bedians might suffer the heartbreak of conceding late and dropping points. It was one of those matches where describing the missed chances could rival an epic tale!
Just when despair threatened to set in, the majestic John Grant, back from injury, made a glorious run and evaded the offside trap in the game's dying moments. He squared the ball beautifully for an easy tap-in 4-2! The crowd erupted! But hold on, Monton still had a final sting in their tail. In the 97th minute, Jude Carswell found himself in trouble near the halfway line, and a quick ball through unleashed Alex Dey, who managed to score with a mere minute remaining. Despite that late lapse, Bedians delivered a fantastic performance and gifted us with a real nail-biter of a game. Yet, the echoes of missed opportunities and some sloppy defending loomed large. The training ground awaits this week to iron out those wrinkles! What a match football at its finest!
